LOTS of News!

Hello all! Sorry it's been a while...I don't know why my teachers think I should have extra work the week before Easter break. There's a LOT of news for me to catch up on, so hopefully I'll be able to do this all in one post.

Have you ever heard of Tolkien Reading Day (which was yesterday, actually)? I never did...well, it's something to remember for next year, anyway. :P

Speaking about books that Tolkien have read, a "new" Tolkien book is coming out in May - The Fall of Arthur.

We've got some analytical goodies...actually, only one. :P Why is the Shire called the Shire?

Did you know that Stephen Hunter auditioned for LOTR? Well, that wasn't the news - it was that he's going to some Expo...just in case you might have wanted to know. :P
Martin Freeman at Empire Awards

There's a Hobbit game out there that looks pretty cool! Read all about it.

Do you think it's possible that there could be an archer in REAL LIFE faster than Legolas? Well, there may be one!

Remember hearing about The Hobbit translated into Latin? Well, it's out and TORN has a review of it.

Did you miss the Desolation of Smaug preview (or like me, didn't have an access code for it, anyway)? Well, don't worry! TORN will be posting lots of juicy details. :) Actually, they already did. Here's a running commentary. Here is a summary of the video. And then some exciting tidbits from the sneak peek.

What next? Oh, The Hobbit won another award!

Peter Jackson is considering a novelization of the movie version of The Hobbit! :O What do you think of that? I think it's kind of a cool idea...but then again, nothing can compare to the actual book.

Last thing - the cast of The Hobbit discuss their love for NZ in a promotional video.

WHEW! That was quite a lot!

Namare!
